Comedy Values

Comedy Cental, please don't scare me like that.

Monday night Rhiannon and I were watching the Daily Show, sharing our lingering disappointment and anger at the election results but also knowing that yes, Jon Stewart will at least make us laugh about it.

Usually after the show, we watch the first minute of the Colin Quinn show, say to each other "looks like he's drunk again" and laugh at what is usually a great intro. Of course we knew that his show had been cancelled, but had no idea what kind of amazing shock we'd be in for...

They replaced the most argumentative forum on television with Blue Collar Comedy.

I don't know if they did this as a joke, if they just didn't have anything to fill in or what, but for one night I thought the executives at Comedy Central took a look at the election results and thought, hmmmmm, maybe these are the people we should be making shows for. Made me want to puke.

Then last night a Chappell's Show rerun was on. They must have realized that the red states shut down the Comedy Central feed between 11-12.
