eat at smyth's
Sunday, November 7
Pick Up Stix
3737 Murphy Canyon Road
15% of all proceeds that day go to the Lupus Foundation via Carolyn Smyth, Chris Galvin, Lynn Schuster and Nina Button.
You have to eat anyway, might as well do it for a good cause. And get 2 orders of the house chicken...you'll want it for lunch on Monday.

weezer never misses a cue
so steve calls me, asks me about voting, tells me he's got 50 bucks on Kerry...literally. that kid will bet on ANYTHING! Bush is favored heavily...I think the fix is in.
Is there a point spread?
What's the Over/Under of votes counted?
Who will be the first state to ratify their electoral votes?
If Bush wins, will Mary Chaney makeout with the Bush twins?
now I'd gamble on that.
and as soon as I start realizing that pretty much every global power has a bet on this election one way or the other, one of those random mp3's that you never realize was on your hard drive pops up...Rivers from VVeezer singing the Start Spangled Banner.
What a country.

i'm a real american
that's right, I voted for the first time EVER this morning. it's such a great microcosm of american society at the polls...you've got two lines, everyone is only in one line until they find out there's another, a bunch of people get in that other line only to find out that it's for another district and that they need to go back to the first line they were in. Someone informs the election volunteers, one of them tries to help by getting some paper to put up signs. Then the volunteers tell him that there's already signs out there, so he doesn't put anything up.
I never saw the signs. Neither did anyone else, so they obviously needed to be more...uh...obvious. But the people in charge thought that what was out there was good enough, so the confusion continued. I'm sure at some point the public opinion will be that they need better signs.
And I'm hoping that's the way this election turns out.
I'm Zachary Good and I approved this message.
