Pacemaker Time

i think i'm gonna need a new heart.

after stopping and restarting numerous times yesterday, i've cut myself just to make sure that it's still pumping, and i'm glad to say that yes i'm still bleeding blue and gold.

can ya believe those chargers? one of the most dominant first halves we've seen all year against a good team.

and then the second half came, where coaching really made itself shown. We had them at 2nd and 24, and 2 penalties gave them a first down. That drive ended in a touchdown. I don't think we had more than one 1st down in the 4th quarter. The only way we won that game was 1) an amazing deflection/interception in the end zone and 2) plummer throwing an out pattern, the receiver caught it inbounds and ran toward the middle of the field, tackled inbounds with 3 seconds left and the clock ran out.

i won't say the fates are aligned, or that we're a team of destiny, but check out what ESPN.com said about us...

"In the old Chargers days, referee Ron Winter would have ruled that there was inconclusive evidence to oveturn a third-quarter play in which Broncos cornerback Kelly Herndon tipped a Drew Brees pass off the ground to safety Kenoy Kennedy, who ran 95 yards for an apparent touchdown. The new Chargers actually got the right call. Winter sided with the Chargers. That wouldn't have happened in the past."

it's so true. Actually, in the old days we would have also been called for some BS personal foul that would be tacked onto the kickoff. And Marty's head would have exploded.

Anyway, I'm so proud.

David Binn rules.
